It might just be that you have to turn down the settings a bit until you are able to upgrade a component. There is only so much "Bandwidth" that can be used on a given computer. If you are running with a integrated video card or low vram ( ram that comes with your graphic card separate from your computer memory) you might run into issues r/t textures not being able to load through the graphic and then those along with other scripts and such that would go to the processor get all lumped up into one place.
